Monsanto to Face Biopiracy Charges in India

Once again, Monsanto finds itself in a legal battle regarding their Genetically Modified (GMO) crops. The Government of India is suing Monsanto for illegally using a native species of eggplant in development of a GMO variant, thereby violating the country's Biological Diversity Act.
